Bike Servicing & Repair

Regular servicing of your bike is essential to ensure smooth and safe operation (and enjoyment). I offer a standard service that covers the essentials to ensure the bike is operational and safe to ride, and a premium service that will includes more thorough servicing of your bike's components.

  • Prices are for labour only unless stated otherwise.​

  • Parts, fluids and consumables (pads, cables, bearings, tyres, sealant and similar) are charged separately.

  • If you are not sure what to book, please contact me and I will advise you.

Note: Pedal assisted eBikes are accepted, but servicing is only performed on the 'standard' components. Currently no servicing or diagnostics is performed on the eBike motor and/or battery, although this may be offered in the future.

Standard Service

£40 excluding parts

The standard bike service includes:

  • Full bike "M check" to identify any issues

  • Brake check and tune-up, including inspection of pad and rotor wear

  • Gear tune-up (for mechanical gear systems)

  • Drivetrain wear inspection

  • Cranks inspected and tightened to recommended torque

  • Minor wheel truing, if required

  • Tyres checked and inflated correctly

  • Headset and handlebar assembly checked and tightened to recommended torque

  • All bolts inspected and tightened to recommended torque

  • Ensure that the bike is safe to ride


The cost of any replacement parts is not included.

Additional Services

Where specific additional services are required separately or on top of a standard or premium service, the costs are as detailed below (excluding replacement parts unless stated otherwise).

Brakes

  • Hydraulic disc brake bleed - £25 per brake or £40 for pair

  • Hydraulic disc brake pad replacement - £15 per brake or £25 for pair

  • Rim brake pad replacement - £10 per brake or £15 for pair

  • Brake cable replacement (inner only) - £15 per brake or £20 for pair

  • Brake cable replacement (inner & outer) - £20 per brake or £35 for pair

Gears & Drivetrain

  • Manual gear indexing & setup - £20

  • Chain replacement & setup -£10

  • Cassette and/or free hub replacement - £15

  • Derailleur hanger alignment or replacement - £15

  • Drivetrain deep clean (non waxed chain) - £20

Wheels & Tyres

  • Puncture repair including new butyl tube - £15

  • Clincher tyre fit/replacement - £10 per wheel

  • New tubeless tyre setup - £25 per wheel

  • Replace tubeless tyre - £15 per wheel

  • Tubeless tyre sealant refresh - £10 per wheel

  • Wheel true (and replace spokes where necessary) - £15-30 depending on effort required

Bearings, Headsets & Bottom Brackets

  • Bottom bracket service - £25

  • New bottom bracket fit - £25

  • Headset service - £30

  • New headset fit - £25

  • Front wheel hub service - £25

  • Rear wheel hub service - £35

Other

  • Bar tape replacement - £15

  • Mudguard fit - from £20

Premium Service

£80 excluding parts

The premium bike service includes everything in a standard service, plus the following:

  • Full drivetrain clean and degrease using an ultrasonic cleaner where appropriate

  • Chain, sprockets, and chain ring replacements, if needed

  • Gear cable inners replaced

  • Brake cable inners replaced

  • Hydraulic brakes: pads inspected for wear, calipers aligned, rotors checked and trued

  • Bottom bracket, hubs, and headset bearings serviced

  • Wheel spoke replacement and wheel truing, if needed

  • Tyre change, if needed

  • Bike cleaned


The cost of replacement parts is not included.

Repairs

Where there is a problem with your bike that requires a repair but you are not sure of the fix required, please get in touch to discuss this further.
